2019 Tenth Anniversary of Passing of Chris O’Brien and 50 Years Since he was School Captain

This year, 2019, marks two significant anniversaries for the Parramatta Marist community. Our School Captain (and Dux and First Grade RL Captain) for 1969 was the late Professor Chris O’Brien. Sadly, this year also marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of this wonderful man; a compassionate and caring surgeon, loving family man and great Australian who saved the lives of many people in this country. Champagnat would be proud! At this year’s School Commencement Mass on February 5th, we will honour Chris’ memory – some 50 years after he became our Captain.
